Wakan Tanka

I was walking my dog in the forest one day and while passing a farm I saw something shocking. In the field, I saw a stallion killing another horse! He had it on the ground and was rearing up and crashing down upon it's body, biting and kicking it. I reacted in a way I would NEVER recommend to react. I ran across the field shouting and waving my arms (I need to point out here that I was approaching the stallion from behind him. He was in such a killing frenzy that he did not notice me. Had I approached from the front of him, he would have seen me and attacked me in his killing frenzy and I could have been killed.) He did not notice me, so I ran up behind and karate kicked him in the balls. He lept 6ft in the air and ran off without even looking behind him to see what it was that had done that to him. What was left was a poor battered little horse in very poor condition, lying there with neck wounds, looking nearly dead.

I knelt down and examined this horse, finding it was actually a filly was a shock to me (as I never would expect a stallion to attack a filly). I gave her some Reiki healing for some time before she was able to stand up. I named her Wakan Tanka (the Native American name for Great Spirit or God) to give her strong life force and with time I moved her to a safe place in the field and later that day moved her to one of my fields nearby.

These first two photos show her a couple of days after I saved her.

For the first three days, I thought I would find her dead when I checked her in the morning because she wouldn't eat or drink. She had millions of lice all over her and was extremely underweight with a nasty neck wound and extremely bruised and battered. Needless to say, she didn't die and started to eat and drink with much attention and healing. I treated her with herbal wormer (Verm-X) as she was so infested and I very slowly day by day treated her for the lice. She was so skinny, it was a miracle she survived.

She was slowly putting on weight and 5 weeks into having her, she suddenly put on lots of weight very quickly - all on her belly. I soon realised she was pregnant. She gave birth a week later (with assistance from me as she was so weak) and Little Chief was born, completely whole and healthy.

He was up and about within half an hour of being born, but Tanka stayed on the ground for 2 hours after the birth as she was so exhausted. We gave her water and feed and she eventually got up and Little Chief was very keen to have his first drink. I had managed to purchase Tanka by this time from the farmer and I never thought I would get two for the price of one!

These pictures were taken the day Chiefy was born. As you can see, he is full of life and she is exhausted.

More of the story to come...

But as you can see from the later pictures, both Tanka and Chiefy have grown up and put on all the condition they needed and are now very happy and healthy members of my healing team.
